Adrian Timbus, Vice President Portfolio, Power Grids Business
Adrian Timbus received his master and doctoral degree from Aalborg University in Denmark in 2003 and 2007 respectively. Since 2007, Mr. Timbus held several positions at ABB, spanning from R&D, to product management and strategy definition. He has been working in the renewable area for more than a decade and his expertise spans across product and systems design, control, automation and digitalization, and grid integration aspects. Currently, he is the Technology and Solutions Manager for Renewables and Smart Grids at ABB.
Dr. Timbus co-authored more than 40 technical papers and 7 patents in the field of renewable energy and smart grids. He is a member of IEC technical committee 88, developing standards for wind industry; as well as a member of the Steering Committee of the Technology and Innovation Platform for Wind at the European Commission. He also serves as an expert for World Economic Forum, in various work streams related to energy and innovation.
