Even though he is a life-long technologist, E.J. does not believe in creating technology for technology’s sake. Instead, he is focused on creating technology that solves real business problems and concerns. He is committed to implementing technology appropriately which is at the core of the Digitalware offering. Focused on the commercial real estate market and integrating technology into buildings, E.J. presents owners and occupiers with a holistic solution, aggregating all technology point solutions and making them work seamlessly while ensuring they are secure and safe from cyber-attack.
Before joining Digitalware, E.J. co-founded his own wireless design business which was acquired by a publicly traded industry leader. At LCC International, an industry leader in wireless design services, he led business development for small cell and in building wireless services. He spend 12 years with AT&T/Lucent Technologies/Bell Labs where he gained strong international business experience as CFO of an AT&T/Lucent wholly-owned subsidiary in the Netherlands. E.J. is a founding member of the Wireless Ethernet Compatibility Alliance (WECA), the body that created the term, “Wi-Fi.”
With a background in finance, E.J. was the controller on the team that eventually brought the first generation of wireless to market in the 1990’s. Most impactful to his career growth from that experience was learning to understand the ramifications that technology can have on people and organizations. Many people were telling them that what they were trying to accomplish was impossible, but the team had a “get it done” attitude and made it happen. Over the years, E.J. has brought that same attitude to all his positions as he continually looks for gaps in the marketplace and figures out ways in which to fill them.
E.J. earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from St. Bonaventure University and his MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
